From
the inspirational—such as opening session speaker Faith
Roberts’ crab bucket analogy, keynote presenter Matthew
Kelly’s treaty on the myth of work-life balance, and closing
session speaker Eric Wahl’s presentation “The Art
of Vision”—to the practical, such as the preconference
new manager intensive and breakout sessions on achieving Magnet®
status, improving interdisciplinary communication, understanding
generational differences, and implementing health IT to name just
a few, Congress2009 had something for everyone in attendance to
help improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of their care
delivery and nursing practice.
In addition to the general and breakout sessions
and exhibit hall, attendee-submitted posters detailing unique
and innovative practices were also a highlight.
