Dear
Colleague,
Thinking about the legal issues surrounding our nursing duties can be overwhelming. I think that is why the first article in our "More Resources" list caught my eye - Seven Legal Tips for Safe Nursing Practice. As listed below, these seven tips look short and sweet and fairly easy to follow, however be sure to explore the full article (as well the others we’ve selected) for more information and guidance!
Seven legal tips for safe nursing practice:
1. Administer medications appropriately.
2. Monitor for and report deterioration.
3. Communicate effectively.
4. Delegate responsibly.
5. Document in an accurate, timely manner.
6. Know and follow facility policies and procedures.
7. Use equipment properly.
