The FDA has approved the following new drug:

  • Adcetris (brentuximab vedotin) - an antibody-drug conjugate directed to a type of lymphoma cell known as CD30; is indicated for the treatment of patients with Hodgkin lymphoma after failure of autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) or after failure of at least 2 prior multiagent chemotherapy regimens in patients who are not ASCT candidates; also indicated for the treatment of patients with systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) after failure of at least 1 prior multiagent chemotherapy regimen.
