Rivastigmine found to be ineffective in reducing delirium in critically ill patients and trial stopped early because drug may increase mortality.

Hospital admission for stroke on a weekend found to be associated with a higher mortality rate than admission on a weekday.

Older patients who survive severe sepsis are at increased risk of substantial new cognitive impairment and diminished functionality.

Concomitant use of a histamine2-receptor antagonist (H2RA) and clopidogrel for patients with prior acute coronary syndrome (ACS) increases the risk of adverse outcomes compared to treatment with clopidogrel only.
