Are you ready for the Flu Vaccination Challenge?

The 2010-2011 Flu Vaccination Challenge began August 18 and will continue through April 2011. The challenge will measure vaccination coverage among healthcare workers who receive the seasonal flu vaccine, which will offer protection against the 2009 H1N1 flu strain. Study offers lessons learned from healthcare-associated infections reporting

In a new study, the National Conference of State Legislatures examines reporting laws from nine of the first states to require healthcare facilities to report HAIs and gathers information about their challenges, successes, and lessons learned.

The American Hospital Association is seeking nominations through September 17 for its 2011 Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence. Hospital CEOs and directors of volunteer services are encouraged to nominate outstanding volunteer programs in the areas of community service, in-service hospital volunteers, fundraising, and community outreach/collaboration.
