The National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services in Health and Health Care (National CLAS Standards) are intended to advance health equity, improve quality, and help eliminate healthcare disparities by providing a blueprint for individuals and healthcare organizations to implement culturally and linguistically appropriate services.


HIV screening recommendations

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has released its final recommendation statement on HIV screening: Clinicians should screen all people age 15 to 65, younger adolescents and older adults who are at an increased risk for HIV infection, and all pregnant women, including those in labor whose HIV status is unknown.


CDC: Preparing and responding to bombing events

The CDC offers resources that may help local or state health officials prepare for, respond to, and mitigate the health effects of bombings and other mass casualty events.
