Supreme Court rules ACA is constitutional
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate and Medicaid expansion. It did, however, strike down a provision that would’ve allowed Congress to retract any and all Medicaid funds from a state that refused to participate in the Medicaid expansion.

The FDA has recently proposed that medical devices distributed in the United States be branded with a unique device identifier. This has been suggested to help identify product problems and ultimately reduce adverse reactions caused by faulty medical devices. Healthcare providers would be able to easily detect any device problems and remove defective products from their facility.
