Jacklyn Tucker, an 11-year-old Florida girl, was attacked by a friend’s dog during a sleepover. Study suggests cataract surgery in elderly reduces hip fractures

A new study of older adults with cataracts shows that those who have had corrective vision surgery were less likely to suffer a hip fracture than those who didn’t receive surgery. While the findings don’t necessarily point to vision improvement preventing falls or fractures, they do suggest that eyesight has a role in these types of injuries.
