Tazarotene was first approved in the treatment of psoriasis. It is now approved in a foam formulation for the treatment of acne. Having a topical formulation helps prevent systemic exposure, thus, leading to a better safety profile.



Brown Recluse Spider Bite or Community-Acquired Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus: A Differential Diagnosis

There are similarities between the symptoms of community-acquired methicillin-resistant S. aureus and the necrotic lesion presentation of the brown recluse spider bite. Misdiagnosis can lead to an overtreated spider bite or undertreated community-acquired methicillin-resistant S. aureus.
