Newly published in the May issue of The Lancet is “Dabrafenib in patients with melanoma, untreated brain metastases, and other solid tumours: a phase 1 dose-escalation trial.”

Two studies by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Cancer Institute find that young adults are increasing their risk for developing skin cancer.

A study from the Journal of Clinical Oncology reports that “Women have a consistent and independent relative advantage in all aspects of the progression of localized melanoma of approximately 30%, most likely caused by an underlying biologic sex difference.”
