The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has awarded a Healthcare Common Procedural Coding System code for the antimicrobial Bioguard Conforming Bandage.

“Standards of Care in Pressure Ulcers— Prevention and Treatment of Stage IV Pressure Ulcers: Advanced Evidence-based Continuing Medical Education Certificate Course” will be held July 23, 2010, at New York University School of Medicine, New York.


NAWC seeks nominations for annual awards

The National Alliance of Wound Care is now accepting nominations for the 4th annual WCC Outstanding Achievement and Scholarship Awards; entries must be received by July 12, 2010.


APWCA offers weekend review/refresher

"The Essentials-A Comprehensive Review Course on Wound Care Management and Intervention" will be held August 7 and 8, 2010, at the Renaissance Philadelphia Hotel at the Airport, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.


Physician-specific wound care certification exams

The Council for Medical Education and Testing is the first organization to offer physician-specific certification of this type; next exam is scheduled for August 21, 2010, in Birmingham, Alabama, in conjunction with the Advances in the Science of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine conference.
