A new national campaign was launched to help reduce the risk of pressure ulcers in hospital and post-acute care settings. The effort is a result of feedback and collaboration with nurses and clinicians who use skin care products to help prevent pressure ulcers.

Poster and oral abstract submissions are now being accepted for the 26th Annual Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care, September 9-12, 2011, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center, just outside of Washington, DC. Deadline for submissions is June 30, 2011.

National Alliance of Wound Care is seeking nominations
The National Alliance of Wound Care is accepting nominations for its 5th Annual Outstanding Achievement and Scholarship Awards program. Categories for achievement awards are: Outstanding Research in Wound Care, Outstanding Work in Diabetic Wounds, and Outstanding WCC of the Year. Entries must be received by July 1, 2011.
