Symposium Is Right Around the Corner

It's almost time for the 30th annual Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care, and you'll want to be there! This year's destination takes us down the Mississippi River to the vibrant and festive city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The symposium will be held at the upscale Hyatt Regency just outside New Orleans' French Quarter from September 18 to 21, 2015. Preconference workshops will be held during the morning on September 18, 2015, and the main conference will begin at 1 PM on September 18.

Keynote speakers, a prestigious faculty of wound care thought and content leaders, exhibits, poster presentations, and a broad range of lecture topics are among the many features of this year's event.

By attending the symposium, you'll be able to apply basic to advanced concepts in the science of wound healing to your practice or role in preventing and managing wounds; discuss current clinical practice, plus how to integrate cutting-edge treatments, emerging technologies, and research breakthroughs; identify credible, balanced, and relevant clinical practice issues; and network with faculty and colleagues to maintain and grow relationships. In addition, take advantage of this opportunity to earn continuing education credits, which are available to nurses, physicians, podiatrists, physical therapists and assistants, and dietitians.

And, if you want to have some fun outdoors and support awareness of wounds, lace up your running shoes and take part in the Wound Reach Foundation's "OUCH! Race Series 5K Fun Run/Walk." The 5K will be held at 6:30 am, Saturday, September 19, 2015. Registration is $35, and each participant receives an "OUCH! Race Series" T-shirt, runner bib number, finisher's ribbon, and refreshments. To register for the race, visit http://www.active.com/new-orleans-la/running/distance-running-races/new-orleans-.

Be sure to cash in on early registration offers for the symposium! Early registration fees are in effect for registrations postmarked by September 14. Walk-in registrations will be accepted on site. Visit http://www.symposiumonwoundcare.com for complete details and registration information.

See you in New Orleans!
