Abstract
ABSTRACT: Dermatopathology is the practice of assessing cutaneous disease via microscopic examination of tissue samples. A clinician's understanding of pathologic findings can assist in working with a dermatopathologist to refine a diagnosis and ultimately determine the best course of treatment. This column defines many of the most common and useful terms in the practice of dermatopathology.
