Please note the following correction and update to our article: On page 62, right column, third paragraph, lines 1-2, we state that "Since 2010, there have been no new state comprehensive clean indoor air laws in the United States." The correct year is 2012.

 

The last state to enact a comprehensive Smokefree State Law covering workplaces and restaurants and bars was North Dakota in 2012, not South Dakota in 2010. The total number of states with such a law remains at 24.

 

From November 2012 until October 2, 2015, there have been no new state comprehensive clean indoor air laws enacted in the United States.
