Abstract

Abstract: All nurses need to be alert for risk factors for acute kidney injury, able to recognize the early signs and symptoms, and prepared to implement appropriate nursing interventions and administer treatment as prescribed by a healthcare provider. This article discusses the nurse's role in assessing and treating this complex disorder in older adults.
