Abstract

Abstract: Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is the newest approach for treatment of severe aortic stenosis in patients at high risk for surgery. TAVR is a less invasive alternative to traditional open surgical aortic valve replacement. This article reviews the procedure, potential complications, and nursing care required for these patients.
