Abstract

Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder affecting reproductive-age women. PCOS causes hyperandrogenism and anovulation and increases the risk of multiple health conditions including infertility, diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular disease. This article outlines current recommendations for diagnostic testing, treatment options, and holistic care of the woman with PCOS.
