[black small square] Unless the infant described in your article on abruptio placentae was unusually large and healthy for his gestational age (30 weeks), I'd be very surprised to see him discharged at 5 days of age ("Abruptio Placentae", Action Stat, February 2004). Maybe you grow them bigger in the United States than in Canada!!

 

Editor's note: You're right. The infant described would probably have remained in the neonatal ICU for weeks.
