I'm an instructor in an accelerated practical nursing program. When grading assignments, I sometimes felt that the students were just downloading information from the Internet without really understanding it. Nursing helped me change all that. I now assign an issue of your journal. The students must read it cover to cover and complete the CE tests. I ask them numerous questions based on selected articles in the issue. I also send them to Web sites listed in your journal.

The students all say it's a challenging 8-hour assignment, but they know it's in their best interest. You may even get a few new subscribers.
