SAFETY CATHETER

B. Braun 's passive Introcan Safety I.V. Catheter is designed to minimize accidental needlesticks without requiring user activation. A stainless steel clip shields the needle tip. The passive design eliminates risk of inadvertent activation while offering a short learning curve with minimal in-service training. Compliance is virtually assured since the safety mechanism can't be bypassed. A nurse can pre-attach a syringe to the Introcan Safety I.V. Catheter to facilitate aspiration and injection during insertion. Introcan Safety is available in a wide range of gauges and lengths, in PUR and FEP, with or without wings to help meet safety compliance initiatives.
