Charles Kaiman is a painter and a clinical nurse specialist in psychiatric mental health nursing at the New Mexico Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care System in Albuquerque, NM. From 1960 to 1966 he studied at the Art Students League of New York with Jean Liberte and Edwin Dickinson; he also holds a bachelor's degree in art education from New York University and has taught painting and drawing to children and adults. He has had 13 one-man shows; this and other recent works will be shown in New York City at Blue Mountain Gallery, which currently represents him, from March 28 through April 22 (http://www.artincontext.org/new_york_ny/blue_mountain_gallery).

Kaiman says, "The VA campus in Albuquerque is the most beautiful place I've ever worked. Treating posttraumatic stress disorder is difficult; the challenges are immense.
