Abstract

Abstract: Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, but a woman's risk can be decreased with preventative measures. This article focuses on the new American Heart Association guidelines for preventing cardiovascular disease in women and the nurse practitioner's role in implementing them.
