Show Me The Evidence

The Blog of Lippincott's Evidence-Based Practice Network

Welcome to Lippincott's Evidence-Based Practice Network
Welcome to the Evidence-Based Practice Network Blog, "Show me the Evidence." Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a leading information provider in the healthcare industry, is committed to bringing nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals, the latest information in healthcare. It is not enough to publish information; the information needs to be evidence-based to enhance best practice and improve patient outcomes. In support of our mission to provide you with the highest quality, credible, evidence-based information, Lippincott's NursingCenter is pleased to present the Evidence-Based Practice Network.

The EBP Network will bring you the latest best practice information from our 50+ nursing and allied health publications and the healthcare industry. In addition to Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journals and books, we have partnered with the Joanna Briggs Institute, a leading organization in evidence-based practice translation and utilization. The Lippincott / Joanna Briggs Institute online books series will bring you information on qualitative and quantitative research, and translating and utilizing research in practice.
Continuing professional development is important in today's healthcare environment. Look for the latest continuing education activities on professional and clinical topics. In addition, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins and JBI have collaborated to bring you continuing education activities based on the latest evidence reviews.
The American Journal of Nursing (AJN) is well known for publishing evidence-based information and original research. Over the past year, AJN has collaborated with Bernadette Melnyk and Ellen Fineout-Overholt to publish the evidence-based practice series, "Step-by-Step", which gives you the information you need to implement and utilize evidence at point-of-care. This series is available on the EBP Network.

"Show me the Evidence," the EBP Network Blog, has been developed for you. The EBP Network Team believes in the importance of generating discussion and ideas through interaction. This blog will give you the opportunity to hear from some of the leaders in evidence-based practice on their philosophy, how they were able to get EBP integrated at point-of-care, and how they created a culture where evidence-based practice is embraced.

Stay tuned for future posts to the "Show me the Evidence" Blog. This blog is for you so send us your feedback on what topics you would like covered.

Welcome to "Show me the Evidence," the blog for healthcare professions interested in implementing evidence at point of care.

I am wondering what the Evidence-Based Practice is now for learning how to interpret cardiac rhythms. Also why there seems to be little interest in nursing to know how to read rhythms.
