Clinical practice guidelines can only improve practice and patient outcomes if they can be tailored for local use. The CAN-IMPLEMENT© resource makes it possible to extend the reach of existing evidence-based practice guidelines. Adapting existing clinical practice guidelines improves the quality and efficiency of the local guideline development process and reduces duplication of effort. More...
CAN-IMPLEMENT© provides a practical guide to assist individuals and groups engaged in adapting existing guidelines use within their institution or community. The resource provides practical guidance on how to adapt existing guidelines and recommendations for individual hospitals and communities and how to implement them into practice. The resource is useful for any guideline developer or adaptor, and is particularly geared towards those with less guideline development experience.
Originally developed by the Canadian Guideline Adaption Study Group, this pragmatic and useful initiative is now available as part of the JBI Resources suite of products.
