"I have a patient with an IV antibiotic, can you take the case?" The hospital discharge planner asks on Friday afternoon. "Sure," the intake coordinator replies. "Thanks!! I'll fax over the information." The information comes over the fax at 4:55 p.m. and the discharge planner cannot be reached. The client is to be admitted Saturday morning.
