Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the learner's competence in treating burn patients in primary care.
TARGET AUDIENCE: This continuing education activity is intended for physicians and nurses with an interest in skin and wound care.
OBJECTIVES: After participating in this educational activity, the participant should be better able to:
1. Use correct burn classifications for documentation and for making patient referrals to burn units.
2. Construct treatment regimens for burn patients.
3. Apply burn care knowledge to patient education scenarios.
