Abstract

According to the CDC, approximately 216,000 people younger than age 20 in the United States have either type 1 or type 2 diabetes. As many as 45% of all newly diagnosed cases in school-age children are type 2 diabetes. We explore options for both parents and caregivers in various settings when caring for a child with diabetes.
