Abstract

ABSTRACT: Application of umbilical wound dressings is challenging because of the shape and depth of the navel. Dressing changes and umbilical wound cleaning as practiced by many surgeons are painful procedures. The authors describe a simple and durable postoperative umbilical vacuum dressing, providing the advantages of topical negative-pressure wound therapy.
