Abstract: Clinical decision support systems can improve efficiency and standardization in patient care by flagging patient records due for recommended health maintenance screening. Despite the staggering numbers of people affected by osteoporosis, rates of bone mineral density screening by dual-emission X-ray absorptiometry remain low.
