American Professional Wound Care Association

Congratulations to Advances in Skin & Wound Care journal's Editor-in-Chief, Richard "Sal" Salcido, MD, on receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA). The award was presented at the APWCA 2013 National Clinical Conference, Opportunities for Excellence, in Orlando, Florida. Dr Salcido was recognized for his work in educating healthcare professionals worldwide and giving generously of his time and expertise to make a difference in the lives of wound care patients.

The APWCA's annual conference provided educational and networking opportunities to physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and all allied healthcare professionals providing wound care to patients.
