Enrollment in nursing programs continues to grow but at a slower rate. A 2013 survey by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Research and Data Center showed a 2.6% increase in enrollment in entry-level baccalaureate programs, an increase comparable to that seen in 2012 but lower than increases seen throughout the past decade. Enrollments in RN-to-BSN programs increased by 12.4%, which marks the 11th consecutive year of increased enrollments in these programs. In 2011-2012, however, RN-to-BSN enrollments increased by 15.5%.
