Organizations call for better access to legislative data from Congress. Better access to information on Congressional legislation-bulk, raw legislative data provided, for example, in a spreadsheet-would better inform the U.S. public about the status of bills before Congress, according to the Congressional Data Coalition, a bloc of 19 organizations, including companies, trade organizations, and public interest groups, that was formed in March. One member group is GovTrack.us, a Web site where nurses can follow the progress of bills like the National Nurse Act and the Nurse and Health Care Worker Protection Act, both introduced in 2013.
