Abstract

Patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation have an increased risk of cerebral thromboembolism. Oral anticoagulation therapy, however, provides primary and secondary stroke prevention in these patients. Here, update your knowledge of warfarin initiation, titration, monitoring, and adjustment.
