Nebraska joins 19 other states in granting full practice authority to NPs. After the defeat of a bill to grant such authority to NPs in 2014, the Nebraska legislature managed to pass a new one this March, removing the integrated practice agreement that required NPs to be in a collaborative practice with a physician. The law will take effect in early September, 90 days after the current legislative session ends.
