  • The Nurse Reinvestment Act (NRA), signed into law August 1, contains many innovative programs to improve the nursing profession. In addition to addressing the burgeoning nursing shortage, this new law will provide nurses with increased career options and improve the governance of health care facilities in which they work. Last month’s Washington Watch provided an overview of the law’s provisions. This month’s column discusses how these provisions can benefit your education and work environment.
