Erratum for 32:3

I inadvertently forgot to include acknowledgments for my article, "Older African Americans' Beliefs about Pain, Biomedicine, and Spiritual Medicine," published in July-September 2015 issue (32:3).

The acknowledgments should also have included: Pastor and First Lady Qualls, Ms. Alecia Jefferson, MS, NP-C, and Harleah Buck, PhD, RN, CHPN, for their review of this manuscript.

What Is "Open Access" Publishing?

The Journal of Christian Nursing now offers authors an Open Access option for publishing their articles. Open Access gives all readers, including those who do not subscribe to JCN, the free, full-text access to an article at the time of publication. Articles still go through the regular peer-review process. However, if accepted, authors can elect to have their article published as Open Access, complete a separate permission form, and pay an Article Processing Fee. The fee covers the cost of preparing and publishing the article. Institutions or research grants, rather than authors, typically pay this fee.

Please note that Open Access is not required for publication in JCN; this is simply a publishing option to make your article open to all. More information can be found in the Open Access FAQs at http://links.lww.com/LWW-ES/A48
