Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society

The 2016 Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society and Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET) Joint Conference will be held June 4 to 8, 2016, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. "Crossing Borders, Breaking Barriers" is the theme for this collaborative event.

 

Conference registration is open and onsite registration will be available.

 

Among the planned activities during the conference are keynote presentations, general sessions, a variety of topic presentations during concurrent sessions, research abstracts, nurse networking opportunities, WOCN region/affiliate meetings, WOCN business meeting, First-time Attendee Reception and CAET Academy Reception, industry exhibits, poster exhibits, and a poster networking event and awards presentation.

European Wound Management Association

The European Wound Management Association (EWMA) will hold its annual meeting May 11 to 13, 2016, in Bremen, Germany. "Patients. Wounds. Rights" is this year's theme. And, a special session will be planned to celebrate 25 years of EWMA.

 

Featured events at EWMA 2016 include 15 key sessions, held in German or English with simultaneous translation. Among the key topics are negative-pressure wound therapy, evidence and outcome, local wound infection, compression therapy, networking structures in wound care, and opportunities for tissue engineering in wound care. A wide variety of concurrent sessions, numerous workshops, guest sessions, and free paper sessions are also among the many features of the conference. E-poster presentations, industry exhibits, and 2016 awards will also highlight the event. In addition, the International Partner Session 2016 will be organized by Wounds Australia and held on May 12, 2016.

World Union of Wound Healing Societies

The 5th edition of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) Congress will take place in Florence, Italy, on September 25 to 26, 2016. "One Vision, One Mission" is the theme of the Congress, with the objective of promoting greater aggregation and integration within the WUWHS. Organizers anticipate more than 4000 attendees and 200 speakers at the Fortezza da Basso, the Congress venue located in the center of Florence.

 

The Congress meets every 4 years in a different global city. In 2012, Japan hosted the fourth Congress. The scientific program is being finalized and currently features keynote lectures, plenary sessions, and numerous symposia, courses, workshops, focus sessions, free communications, and "what's new" sessions.
