AlloSource, Centennial, Colorado, a provider of cartilage, cellular, bone, skin, and soft-tissue allografts for use in surgical procedures and wound care to advance patient healing, was granted a patent for an acellular human dermal matrix processed to be delivered via syringe. The patent is titled "Flowable matrix compositions and methods."

According to the manufacturer, the subject of the new patent is an allograft that can be injected or molded by hand for placement in hard-to-reach wounds. AlloSource's wound care portfolio includes AlloSkin AC Acellular Dermal Matrix and AlloSkin.
