Abstract

Nurse leaders and staff at the study hospital determined that it was important to identify barriers to implementation and develop a more structured BSR process. The team's goal was to explore issues that caused nurses to avoid fully implementing bedside handoff. This exploratory data would then be used to develop nurse-driven and patient-centric improvements to the bedside handoff exchange.
