The Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy continues to be the destination of numerous submissions and source of many citations. We received more than 180 submissions in 2016-of which 128 were entered into the peer-review system. This number is considerably greater than the annual average of 105 from 2013 to 2015. Manuscripts originated from the United States and 32 other countries. Of papers for which final disposition was determined in 2016, 34.1% were accepted. This is comparable with 30.4% in 2015. On the basis of citations of articles published in the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Science Citation Index Expanded reports a small but steady increase in the Journal's impact factor: 1.833 (2015), 1.275 (2014), 1.255 (2013), and 1.212 (2012). SCImago ranks the Journal in the top 50% of Geriatrics and Gerontology journals (48/108) and the top 40% of Rehabilitation journals (40/113).

Reviewing the manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy involves the coordinated efforts of the Journal's Associate Editors and reviewers. Two long-time Associate Editors retired in 2016 (Marybeth Brown and Bernadette Williams-York). Their responsibilities were assumed by Bill Andrews and Kerstin Palombaro. Kevin Chui and Robert Wellmon continue to faithfully serve as Associate Editors. In addition to myself and the Associate Editors, the 85 Editorial Board members and reviewers listed in the following each reviewed 1 or more manuscripts for the Journal in 2016. Their efforts are greatly appreciated.
