Abstract

In March 2000, two nurse-managed health centers in Philadelphia enrolled in a "Depression Collaborative" to improve care to patients with major depression. After one year, 108 patients were in their depression registry, with 50% showing significant improvement in depressive symptoms. After year two, 130 people were in the registry, with 72.8% returning for follow-up visits two weeks after initial diagnosis.
