American Professional Wound Care Association

The American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) will hold its 16th Annual National Clinical Conference, September 7 to 9, 2017, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Pennsylvania. The conference will offer an array of continuing education opportunities for multidisciplinary skin and wound care practitioners, from novice to expert, by providing a forum for educational sessions and interactive workshops on comprehensive wound management strategies. The APWCA expects physicians, podiatrists, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and others who manage wound care patients across the continuum of healthcare to attend this year's conference. National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel

The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) recently announced the addition of 6 new directors to its board of directors. Joining the 5 standing directors are Scott Bolhack, MD; Barbara Delmore, PhD, RN, CWCN, MAPWCA, IIWCC-NYU; William Padula, PhD, MS; Joyce Pittman, PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, CWOCN; Ann Tescher, PhD, APRN, CNS; and Tracey Yap, PhD, RN, CNE, WCC, FAAN. The new directors will serve a 3-year term on the board.
