Abstract

Abstract: Accountability for health system improvement is a requirement for nursing leadership in practice. However, to be accountable for organizational goals, nurse leaders need the tools to identify gaps in their microsystems of care. The purpose of this article was to provide a case study example of chief nursing officer (CNO) leadership in using a technology solution to develop a CNO accountability scorecard. This project highlights the HQ Essential for data analytics using an innovative technological approach to drive improvement at the front line of clinical care.
