This is in reference to the letter concerning cobedding twins by Heidi M. Funk.

I am the Director of Women's Care Services at our hospital, and I have been an obstetric nurse for 19 years. I fully support cobedding term and preterm twins. My twins were born 17 years ago and were full-term infants weighing 7 and 8 lbs., respectively. The nurses would put both girls on their side, facing each other. They were each wrapped snugly in their own blankets. They seemed content and they were quiet and slept soundly. The only environment they know is the one in which another infant is close. Think of how these babies must feel when that is taken away from them!!
