Editor's note: Nursing2004, a sister journal to Advances in Skin & Wound Care, recently published a survey to assess wound care knowledge among bedside nurses. Nurses who read Advances in Skin & Wound Care are invited to respond as well. Completed surveys from Advances in Skin & Wound Care will be compared with completed surveys from Nursing2004 to determine if practice differences exist between the readership groups.

 

Nurses specializing in wound management have ample opportunity to interact with patients who have wounds, and thus they have a greater understanding of current wound care and wound prevention practices. The purpose of the following survey is to assess that understanding. An analysis of the results will be published in an upcoming issue to help readers determine whether nursing practice at their facility is in line with current wound care standards.
