Abstract
Sharing the diagnosis with a person in the mild to moderate stages of Alzheimer's disease is preferable, unless there are serious concerns about a depressive reaction. This will facilitate early management including planning by the person for the future. A patient led method is recommended to facilitate the process of sharing the diagnosis.
