Aerogen, Inc. (Mountain View, Calif.) has received approval from the FDA to market its Aeroneb Go Nebulizer, a fast, efficient, simple-to-use device for people requiring nebulizer treatments in and away from home.

The new product eliminates problems common to current methods of aerosol delivery. Unlike compressor, ultrasonic, or mesh-based nebulizers, Aeroneb Go allows patients to complete treatments quickly with minimal waste of medication. The Aeroneb Go delivers a high-quality, respirable aerosol. It is easily assembled, quiet, and easy to clean.

Aeroneb Go is for use by pediatric and adult patients, and is cleared for use with prescribed solutions for inhalation that are approved for use with general-purpose nebulizers.

Aeroneb Go will replace the Aeroneb Nebulizer System, first marketed in the United States in June 2001.
