The American Professional Wound Care Association's 2005 National Clinical Conference, "Wound Care and the Related Sciences," will be held March 31 to April 2, 2005, at the Hilton Philadelphia Airport Hotel, Philadelphia, PA. More than 20 total educational contact hours will be offered at the 3-day event, including preconference courses, breakout sessions, and general lecture sessions taught by more than 40 multidisciplinary faculty members.

 

The keynote address will be on "Research Growth Factors-Taken to 21st Century," given by Thomas Serena, MD, FAPWCA.

 

General lectures include "Why Diabetic Feet Do Not Heal," "Dressing Selection," "Making Wound Care Work for You," "Biochemistry of Wound Healing," "Nutritional Aspects of Wound Healing," "Hyperbaric Oxygen Guidelines," "Physical Medicine Modalities," "Vascular Surgery," and "Wound Care Practice/Centers: What Is Needed to Make It Work?"
