Join the VNAA in San Diego, the city renowned for its spectacular sun and surf, as we come together again to share business ideas and collegial support!!

"Sail to Success" is the theme for the VNAA's 23rd Annual Conference and Exhibition, to be held at the Loew's Coronado Bay Resort and Spa, on San Diego's beautiful Coronado Island, from April 27th through the 29th.

The VNAA Annual Meeting offers workshops and roundtables that promote sharing and collaboration among nonprofit home healthcare agencies. At the meeting you'll experience:

National Industry Leaders

Featured speakers this year include Lisa Remington, publisher of The Remington Report; Eric Dishman, director of Intel's Proactive Health Lab; Dr. Tray Dunaway; and LeAnn Thieman, nurse and coauthor of Chicken Soup for the Caregiver's Soul.

Educational Workshops

Nearly 30 educational workshops and poster sessions will address topical issues for all levels of the home care team. From wound care management to case mix issues, you are sure to find workshops and poster sessions that will meet your learning needs and earn your continuing education credits.

Diabetic Care Workshop

If you are looking for best practices in foot care for diabetic home care patients, then don't miss our special, preconference workshop on Wednesday, April 27. This session will provide participants with practical tools for implementing these best practices.

Leadership Seminar

On Tuesday, VNAA will offer a preconference leadership seminar, "Where Is Home Care Headed?" This seminar, developed for senior managers, will discuss political and economic trends that will impact home care's future, and identify strategies for accessing new payment sources.

OASIS Exam

We've often heard that relaxation is the key ingredient for passing an exam, and VNAA has taken this recommendation to heart. Clinicians in need of COS-C should sign up now to join us in San Diego, and reserve a seat at this 2-hour certification session.

National Awards

One of the meeting highlights will be held on Thursday evening as we honor VNA staff and leaders from across the country who will receive awards for mentoring, clinical excellence, board leadership and volunteerism!! These are the VNA heroes, nominated by their agencies for the unrivaled efforts that they contribute to their VNA and to their community. Most award recipients and their families attend this event, and there is seldom a dry eye in the room by the end of the evening!!

So, how should you wind up the week after soaking up so much knowledge?

More soaking, of course!! Soak up some sun at the Loew's Coronado Resort, which is home to an 80-slip marina and a first-class spa and pool. Be sure to visit some of the nearby attractions, including the world-renowned San Diego Zoo, Sea World, LegoLand, Old Town, and Balboa Park.

There are plenty of adventures waiting for you in San Diego, so register now for VNAA's 23rd Annual Meeting and Exhibition.

The 23rd VNAA Annual Meeting is open to any not-for-profit home care organization.

Come join us and sail to success in 2005
